CSPO : Have you got what it takes to be a CSPO recruiter?

CSPO

Have you got what it takes to be a CSPO recruiter? We're looking for a select few good men or women who are up to the challenge.

Recruiters get discounts on tickets to CSPO scenarios and receive special moderator priveliges in certain areas of the forums as well as a special Staff Seargent Recruitment rank and rank badge on our website.

Read more for details.

So who has the right stuff to be a CSPO recruiter?

A CSPO recruiter is someone who goes regularly to one or multiple paintball fields. A CSPO recruiter is someone who has the ability to take the initiative and tell people at their regular field of play about CSPO.

A CSPO recruiter is NOT someone who is willing to promote CSPO online only. You must be a "complete" paintballer with all of your gear, not a rental player or borrower. You must have a general understanding of paintball equipment so you can field general questions from paintballers at your field.

What does a CSPO recruiter do?

A CSPO recruiter tells players about CSPO, the CSPO website, and the CSPO games and videos and gets them to register online with our website so that they can be updated. Get your recruits to post a quick introductory note in the Paintball talk forum after registering saying where they usually play and who recruited them.

How will the paintball field operator feel about my recruiting activities?

Most paintball field operators will welcome a CSPO recruiter. A small select few, for whatever reasons, will feel threatened by somoene handing out their business cards at their field. By having a CSPO recruiter at their field they will be getting free advertising of events happening at their field, and true woodsball players will feel more actively engaged.

If your paintball field operator gives you a hassle, it's important to know your rights. As a customer, you're allowed to talk to whoever you want about whatever you want. It's unethical to show up and hand out advertisements about an upcoming game to every single player on the field but you're well within your rights to have a conversation with another player that you made some good kills with.

Paintball field operators come from a variety of backgrounds ranging from amatuer to paramilitary to corporate. Those with more business experience will cause you the least hassle. Those with little to no business experience may feel threatened.

Just remember, you're there to be helpful in getting your fellow players what they want: the best paintball experience possible, whether they are playing at your home field, somewhere else, or at a CSPO game.

Is there a limit on how many recruiters CSPO will allow?

Yes. Only two recruiters will be allowed for each paintball field. If you regularly play at Ambush Paintball for example and there are already two recruiters there, your request to become a recruiter will be denied.

However, if one of the recruiters fails to perform you will be considered for promotion in their place.

What kind of discounts are we talking about here?

CSPO doesnt make money on our events. However by being a recruiter you are making the game bigger and better which gives us more flexibility in the scale of scenarios we organize. You can expect that the "day of" penalty will be cancelled and discounts depending on the event price and type of ticket.

How do I apply?

You can apply to be a recruiter by private messaging your area LT on this board. Be sure to include what field you regularly play at as well as how often you play at that field. Include also secondary and tertiary fields you sometimes play at.

i think i have what it takes to become a cspo recruiter because i am a team player and very good with other team mates, secondly i go out paintballing a lot. i play at tswwassen paintball almost every week. i have a customized 98 custom but am getting a eclipse ego soon. i have my own jerseys, pants and mask so clearly im not a renter! the only thing that may stand in my way is my age... im 13 but i would like to become the youngest cspo recruiter! thanks, Dylan :)
