Tag onto the CSPO membership card system when it's rolled out. due to a variety of issues ranging from personal to time management I have been late in rolling it out but it will be coming out and it will make your aspect as a vendor much easier with the barcode recognition and other security features such as photoID

You can bring your pump, yes. You can bring any gun you wish, as long as you adhere to using a gravity feed hopper to even out the playing ground.
In regards to the previous question with the 4 hour session, it's $45 a person (if your renting) $20 during the day, $25 at night field fee. Book 24 hours in advance. We prefer a minimum of 10.

I would be interested to know what the costs would be to book a 4 hour session when the renters and Milsig guys are not there. This would be to allow more experienced players to play at a more competitive level instead of having to constantly hold back like they have to on rental fields.

i was refering to a member price on paint, im glad thats included.
oh I see, i guess i misinterpreted it, on your site you say
"Morning Shift $25/Person, Evening Shift $25/Person"
I assumed that meant if you wanted to play from three till nine you would have to pay both the moring and evening rate
Thanks for answering all of these questions on here Ryan, i'm lookiing forward to going to your field much more now that some of these things have been clarified.

Hey, no problem.
To answer your questions, Their is a member price on paint. Are we talking membership price, or CSPO member price?
Once the cleanup process is done here this week, I'll take some pictures and post them up on the website to let everyone know what this place will look like, including a blueprint layout.
The single price of $25 will give you all day play. No worries, there!
What would you like to see in terms of scenarios? |

hey Ryan, nice to hear back from you.\
i'm glad to hear your working on opening up the range of markers allowed, there lots of people who enjoy senario play and yet do not want milsim markers (myself inclided)
also glad to hear the rentals are hopper fed, the thought of new players with a mag feed paintball gun was kinda scary, lol
I understand the needing to make a profit, and to be honest i dont have a problem with the basic paint price of 180 a case, thats only 20 dollars more than i've seen at local outdoor fields, though i would definitly like to see a separate member price, perhaps 110, 120? (i havent seen what the layout is like but i'm thinking paint expendatures will be less than at an outdoor field, so a slightly higher cost would be ok)
the one final suggestion i would like to make is about the possiblity of a slightly higher entrance fee, but have it good for the entire day, perhaps two levels? the 25 dollar one for half a day or 35 for a full day? I know when i go paintballing i intend to go for the full day, i wouldnt look forward to paying 50 dollars just in entry fees for a full day of paintball.
Thanks,
Ryan

I've been playing this game a long time! I also run Prison Paintball out in Maple Ridge, and have been doing so for years. (Perhaps you've heard of us). I'm also a playing in BCPPL, CXL, etc. So yes, common sense.
Marker restrictions, still in progress. They were going to cater only to milsim players, however; they cannot stay in business if this is their only market. Lets face it, Milsig is what, 10-15% of the paintball market in the lower mainland?
They have a cap at 210fps. With this, I am going to try to implement a plan in getting all guns within the playing field, as long as they are capped at semi auto and maintain 210fps. This is a work still in progress that I am working on, and I assure you I am trying my best. If they do not listen to me, there is no way we will succeed.
Our standard markers are the m14 and the ak47 milsig. They are hopper fed.
To be honest, not much draw - again, something I am going to have to discuss with them. It gives you a discount on entrance, rental fee, and gives you a VIP room, and you are allowed to play outside of normal business hours with your group. Panther's bronze rate seems pretty good, it's hard to beat it. So I will discuss it with the higher ups and see if we can make things more enticing. Because hey, I completely agree with you. The benefits of the different memberships are on the website.
Of course entrance fee and cheaper paint would be a draw, but lets face it; businesses need to make money, otherwise nobody would get paid - including me. They have the idea that "build it and they will come." We will try and work something out.
I have also considered CSPO discounts, perhaps making this place a training and scenario facility for you guys to have games here. This would include a discount on the paint, drinks, entrance, etc. For all CSPO (ranked) members.
In regards to the rental question you had, I really don't understand the question :D
And yes, if they had indoor speedball, I would be here too. But no, they don't cater to speedball at all. Unfortunately. ;) |

Hey Ryan, i'm glad to hear from someone involved with who seems to have some common sense. I was really looking forward to a local indoor field (back when there was little information available) but i was really put off when i saw the website. The prices listed shocked me, though i have no idea what the facilities are like, maby there justified. hopefully you guys can pull this off.
i do have a couple of questions if you dont mind.
1) are there any marker restrictions for owners? speedball markers ok? hopper fed ok or is it really all milsig?
it seems as though if renters using milsigs (of the mag fed kind) play against someone using something else they wont stand a chance. (front page mentions that the Comando Pro is Your standard marker?)
2) what exactly do you see the draw being for a 275 dollar membership? I dont see the benifits of the membership being worth near that much. i see 5% off rental and entry, and 5% off at your store, those are the only things that stick out to me,
to compare, i have the cheapest membership at Panther (bronze) which gives me free entry, free air, free rentals half price paint ($80), half off senario day entry and a store discount of up to 15%, and they only charge 150 for this level.
I really dont understand your fields pricing for it, for myself, the thing that would get me interested in your membership would be reductions in entry fees and cheaper paint.
3) the final thing i wanted to ask was about your rental options, the other day when i was browsing your site i saw time limitations on rental options. I cannot find it today was this reconsidered, or can i just not find it?
thanks,
p.s. if there was indoor speedball as well I would be out there a lot

Hi Jenobi, thanks for the warm welcome!
I'm Ryan, the Field Manager for Richmond Indoor Paintball. And I for one, know shit about paintball. I was hired BECAUSE I know shit about paintball. And they openly admit, they don't.
You're right about the paint, and I've brought it to the attention of the owners, and they (as far as I know) will be lowering the price per case. I'm an avid paintballer too, and I wouldn't pay those prices, either.
However; the entrance fee is acceptable considering the value, in my opinion.
And I hope this facility isn't a flop, I for one want it to succeed and bring more people into the game. Milsig does have a hand in it, yes. However; I'm trying to change that. I for one know that this place won't last if it's milsig only. I'm a speedball player myself, and an avid rec baller. I want to see every walk of life in this place, and I'll do my best to make it work.
So of course, we're open to suggestions!
Ryan

Fancy webpage. Too bad the owners don't know shit about paintball. 180 for a case, only idiots pay that. 25$ field fee or 10$ per hour. WTF? $25 per person
Rental fees included following items. Richmond Paintball only use premium gears!
* Standard Marker * Tactical Vest * Full Covered Mask * Suit * Unlimted CO2 refills Other fields already offer this, minus the tac-vest which is useless to a renter.
Extra Add-on Rental
$5 per person
Extra rental option enhance your gaming experience by adding useful equipment to the standard rental option. Richmond Paintball only use premium gears!
* Light Weight Elbow Pads * Light Weight Knee Pads * Radio with Tactical Earphones and Mic What the hell are renters going to do with radios besides break them? and knee and elbow pads, I'm not even going to go on any further. this field is already a flop and I smell milsig's hand in it.
