Setting up became kinda rushed but I felt it was well worth it. If there is any interest in AI coming back (hopefully with a full CO2 tank) I'd like to build a bit more and try to hack down some trails.

I want to thank AI for bringing so many players up! More people out that one day than I've ever seen play in KL. We have to keep it up and try to expand even more. Perry knows of the Sesaginika group and a few others and Morgan knows some Englehart and Timmins people...

I'll be at the field at 12:00. We managed to put up a few structures yesterday but we have some signs and tables to set up. I'm also running down to Englehart to pick up Morgan.

Hey all,

I just got a message from a guy in Englehart (Morgan) that is interested in playing. His equipment isn't with him but I'm lending him my backup. I've played with/against him before and I think he contacted AI before as well. I think he'll drive himself, but if he needs a ride would anyone coming through be interested in picking him up? PM me if you want and I'll contact him and find out if he needs it.

That sounds good to me about marking seeing as there will be a bunch of newbies. This could help if you are doing random teams as to remember different ppl could make for a lot of shooting your own team.

Your field Teach, you decide weather you want to randomize or not. We can try both ways as we have all day to play :D

my friend, i just want to slings some paint... don't care who i'm doing it with or at... lol.. and i know lots of ppl like shooting at me.

we can mark the teams, may be a good idea if we have new new ppl out. this coming from a guy that doesn't like tape.

What do people think about marking teams with flagging tape or duct tape etc? I'm thinking that with so many people and with the number of new players perhaps it will be better to mark teams...

It could be argued that if it's an attack/defend/capture the flag game, then it should be easy to tell who's on you team...

What do you guys think? Should I bring some red and blue tape?

Also, should teams be random or should we stick as close as possible to the 'AI vs KL' theme?

Kevin: If you still want to help, I could always pick you up. So far it will just be me, CrouchingTiger and 'Snowflake'... Let me know if you want a ride. If not, see you Sunday!

Crzycunck: What did you have in mind?

All: Teams may have to be random...hope that's okay with everyone. We can always switch it up as the day goes on.

Tyler, thats a good game plan. I can do a lot with that as far as a video goes. Oh and I don't think I'll be able to make it Saturday to help out, I don't seem to have a ride.

I have Rabbit, ResQ, Diablow and his friend Dave confirmed. Mcsquizzy said he will probably be there. Sounds like a great turn out.

I've been trying to figure out a storyline/scenario/game type that best fits the teams coming and the terrain of the field. We have teams that have played together in big games in actual fields, teams that have mostly played in the woods and some people brand new to paintball.

The field is dominated by a cliffside, a road at the base of the cliffside that winds uphill and behind it to a large, flat, deforested area with lots of thick brush surrounding it all. There are pockets of clearing scattered throughout, but there are no major trail networks connecting them yet. I imagine most of the action will follow the road and cliffside areas. I hope to build a few bunkers on Saturday alongside the road and at the base of the cliff.

With that in mind, here's what I have so far:

Operation: Checkpoint Charlie

The KLPB forces have been called into action to defend their vital border crossing between their northern territory and the lands of the south: Checkpoint Charlie. The southern militia known as the Algonquin Irregulars (in search of more moose perhaps) are encroaching upon the northern territories and are quickly approaching Checkpoint Charlie.

Easy Company, the NSPB Squad, and a band of mercenaries have answered the call to defend Checkpoint Charlie against the nefarious Algonquin Irregulars.

Will AI burst through the check point and take control of the best moose hunting grounds or will the KLPB Forces drive the southern invaders back to their farmlands and giant cow?

This will be a one flag capture the flag game. The flag will be located at "Checkpoint Charlie" and must be taken to the opposite team's base to win the round. Teams will begin play at their bases. CSPO rules will be followed for eliminations.

I'm not sure if respawns would be appropriate as one team will be too far from the staging area to resupply. Perhaps this could be balanced by letting the far team respawn twice each and the team near the staging area respawn once each as they can resupply... Hopefully we'll discuss this and figure it out before this weekend.

Of course, if you have entirely different ideas or want to add to this, let me know! Nothing is written in stone.
