A 2 day B.Y.O.P. SCENARIO PAINTBALL GAME
The off world mining company on PANDORA, and it's private Security Forces, have been doing things their own way when going after the planets precious Unobtanium mineral. They don't seem to care that their destructive methods are destroying pieces of the Tree Of Souls, that is sacred to the Na'vi, and now the Na'vi are going to try and stop them from doing anymore damage. Only by rescuing enough pieces of the Tree Of Souls can the Na'vi use their sacred connection with the planet against the Security Forces, but if the mining company gets a hold of enough Unobtanium mineral first, they can then afford to pay for additional Security Resources to force the Na'vi out of their Home Tree leaving them free to mine for the mineral anyway they want.
Will the mining Security Forces remove the Na'vi from Home Tree or will the Na'vi drive the mining company right off the face of PANDORA?

| The Democratic Republic of Congo is home to vast expanses of pristine rain forest and a large potential for wealth in the form of highly valuable minerals and natural resources. Yet Congo is also one of the poorest, most chaotic nations on the planet, ruined by unrest that is estimated to have claimed millions of lives in the past 10 years.
In an effort to stem unrest, Congo and Rwanda embarked on an unprecedented joint military operation in the eastern portion of the country to clear the region of long entrenched fighters. The United Nations also maintains a large peacekeeping force in the country, and has participated in the joint combat operations. The United Nations, along with the Congolese Army have decided to try and end the conflict. Lt. General Babcar Gaye (Force commander for the U.N.) has direct orders to stop the FDLR (Democratic Liberation Forces of Rwanda) and General Amani Amahoro, the commander responsible for the genocides that are happening there. The UN will help the people of Conga to rid them of the FDLR and any other factions that are in the way.
The FDLR are small in number of combatants, many with families and other dependents. The majority are strategically settled in mountainous or rainforest terrain in North and South Kivu. Although geographically isolated, the FDLR have excellent communication networks, enabled by solar power, that keep them in touch with the outside world and their leadership abroad. Combatants go through a strict indoctrination process, and follow orders. A recent report by the U.N. Group of Experts on the Democratic Republic of the Congo found that the FDLR either dig for the minerals themselves or they tax local diggers. Minerals are then either transported by road or by air to buyers in larger cities like Goma or Bukavu, the capital of South Kivu. The FDLR, like many other rebel groups in eastern Congo, are also known to set up roadblocks along supply routes under their control and tax traders.
United Nation & Congolese Army directives:
1. A parachute drop of important medical supplies was inadvertently dropped in hostile territory. You must send out troops to locate the drop (visible by a colored smoke), extract the shipments and return it under guard to the MSF hospital in Bunia. Once the supplies are returned to the hospital then they can be distributed to the needy people.
2. A known warlord, Laurent Nkunda leader of the CNDP (National Congress for the Defence of the People) has been captured by the FDLR. Laurent is an important leader to the people and if he is not freed it will be a moral blow to the people of Congo. You must find the location where they are holding him and free him before he is interrogated. Once you have freed him, you must escort him back to the UN headquarters.
3. Intelligence has reported that there may be an attack by the FDLR on the Okimo state run gold mine. The Okima mine has a capacity of producing six tons of gold a year. It is rumoured that the FDLR need the gold to finance a project that they are reported to be in the process of running. Send a force of 12 players to the mine to check to see to see if the Intel is correct.
FDLR Democratic Liberation Forces of Rwanda directives:
1. During a routine roadblock setup to extract money, food and medical supplies from people, you were able to capture Laurent Nkunda, the leader of the CNDP. You are to escort him back a safe location and keep him there until general Amani Amahoro can meet you and interrogate him for any useful information. After General Amani has extracted the information he wants, you are to take Laurent and execute him.
2. The FDLR is expecting a secret delivery from the Miya-Miya, a militia group of Congo. This delivery is an important toll that is needed to finally gain control of the fighting in Congo. Constant fighting has depleted the finances of the FDLR and they need some money before the shipment arrives. General Amani has decided that the easiest way to get money quickly is to attack a gold mine and extract the gold. You will need to control the area for 20 minutes before the workers will have enough gold made for you. Once you have the gold, you will need to escort it safely back to your headquarters.
3. When you get confirmation from the Miya-Miya that they have your secret delivery, you must rendezvous with them and complete the transaction. The Miya-Miya militia are an unpredictable group so extreme caution is advised when dealing with them.
This will be the guidelines for the morning session. The afternoon session will be given out at lunch break so that it does not give away other things that will happen in the afternoon session.
